In our KS1 assembly we will be reading a new Topsy and Tim book, written for the Anti Bullying Alliance.

This is a poster that we will be talking about with the children.

At Farsley Farfield Primary School, we are determined to be a ‘Bully Free Zone.’ This year’s slogan is, ‘Make a Noise.’ Together we will be encouraging all the children to speak up, if they feel bullied or see anyone being bullied. If your child is unhappy or talks about bullying at home, please speak with a member of staff.

I’m really happy that farfield will be talking to the children about bullying! My daughter started the new term unhappy after we found out in her second week that she was being bullied! I’ve since spoken to her teachers and have been ensured that it is being dealt with! No child or adult should have to deal with bulling of any kind! Farsley farfield you have my full support! !

Thank you for your comment. I am so sorry that your daughter was bullied at the beginning of term, but am glad to know that her teacher dealt with it quickly. This shows how important it is that children tell their parents or an adult at school when they are being bullied or see someone else being bullied. Thank you for your support. Mrs Fisher

  2. It can never be a bad outcome to teach our children from a young age about bullying. Glad the school is not shying away. Nearly every child will be bullied, be a bully or witness it at some point, intentional or not. Give them the confidence and tools to speak out.
